Goals

The H2O Africa Foundation represents an unprecedented collaboration. The Foundation was launched in conjunction with Running the Sahara, the expedition and film project produced by LivePlanet and Independent Producers Alliance.

While H2O Africa Foundation has been dissolved, its mission is being carried forward by Water.org, a U.S.-based nonprofit organizations dedicated to bringing clean drinking water and sanitation to people in developing countries. All proceeds raised on the H2O Africa Foundation website support Water.org's clean water projects in Africa.

For nearly two decades,
Water.org has driven innovations in the way water projects are delivered and financed. By forging partnerships with carefully-screened local partner organizations and offering affordable financing through its WaterCredit Initiative, Water.org empowers communities to develop and sustain solutions to their own water needs. In 2008, Water.org brought clean water and sanitation to more than 142,000 people in Ethiopia, Kenya, India, Bangladesh and Honduras.

Thank you for your partnership and for your support of those in need of clean water. It is your generosity and compassion that makes our life-saving work possible.
