Goals
The H2O Africa Foundation represents an unprecedented collaboration. The Foundation was launched in conjunction with Running the Sahara, the expedition and film project produced by LivePlanet and Independent Producers Alliance.

The H2O Africa Foundation is managed by The Renaissance Charitable Fund, which provides administrative services to the Foundation at no cost to help further the organization's mission. Stanford Financial Group, lead investor in the Running the Sahara film, provides money management services for the Foundation. Strategic philanthropic counsel has been provided at no cost by The Helixx Group, LLC.

This collaborative approach enables us to send 100% of donations made to The H20 Africa Foundation directly to the Foundation's implementation partners in the field.

H2O Africa is focused specifically on clean water initiatives in Africa. Our strategy is to promote a "best-of-class, open model approach" to implementation in the field. We want to enable and empower donors to help create solutions in communities and with partners that they help to select.

That means you will see projects that H2O Africa donors have requested which will involve governmental agencies, humanitarian organizations, faith-based groups -- and other NGOs of various kinds. But all have joined up with H2O Africa because of the shared goal of getting clean water to communities in Africa that have none. And all participating NGOs share the vision to serve all people affected by the water crisis with equal and exemplary compassion.

Our partners provide match funding, complementary expertise, and geographic presence on the continent to ensure that the work we do together is done to the highest standards -- including ongoing education and sustainability. We already have projects in motion with some of the best known and most innovative organizations involved in the clean water initiative, and we will work hard with them, and with you, to raise the standard and create a legacy of positive and lasting change in Africa.
