CLEAN WATER WELLS, ENHANCING LIVES AND COMMUNITIES IN AFRICA

H2O Africa is the clean water initiative that is part of the Running the Sahara expedition and film project.

H2O Africa will create widespread public awareness of the water crisis in Africa and gather support for clean water programs in critical areas, particularly in the communities without clean water along the Running the Sahara route.

Together, we will leave a legacy of better lives and better communities in Africa.

Our Impact Strategy

Clean water lies at the crux of many challenges facing African people - health, education, human rights. H2OAfrica supports sustainable, integrated water programs.

Sustainable -- in that projects are accompanined by training and maintenance to create a program that will live for the long run.

Integrated -- in that activity will complement other programs in the region, such as education and infrastructure development.

H2O Africa is raising awareness about the African water crisis, and facilitating cost-effective and impactful work that eradicates the problem in targeted regions of Africa.

Walter Wang, CEO of JM Eagle, the world’s largest plastic pipe manufacturer, has announced a major partnership with The H2O Africa Foundation.

Featured Projects
Philip and Donna Berber, co-founders of A Glimmer of Hope Foundation, have partnered with H2O Africa to bring safe, clean water to communities throughout targeted regions of rural Ethiopia.

One sample project would be a water purification system established at a school, which has the benefit of providing clean water for the ccommunity and also encourages parents to bring their kids to school.

Living Water International is mobilizing faith-based initiatives with H2O Africa; while Millennium Promise, UNDP and other NGO's lead our Millennium Community projects.
